Vision + Mission Workshop and Moderation
Institut für zeitgemäße Prüfungskultur
Institute for Contemporary Exam Culture
What a transformative weekend! Iterating the vision and mission of the Institut für zeitgemäße Prüfungskultur (Institute for Contemporary Exam Culture).
This weekend we had the opportunity to support the #transformation process of the institutes #Vision and #Mission. Over the last few years, they have proven well, how exams in high schools can be more contemporary. Now they take their next big step: Transforming not just exam culture, but #learningculture, too.
Together with Wiebke and Nina, we facilitated two #designthinking#workshops and #moderation of the #conference of the institute. In the workshops, we worked on the values, created a redefined vision statement, and formulated “How might we…” statements to then precisely ideate on their implementation. And of course, we had fun ideating actionable items to give the transformation new momentum.
My biggest takeaway was to give a #saferspace to fears, doubts, and worries that came up during the value #cocreation after we did an active listening exercise where everyone was heard. It was crucial to then name these fears, doubts, and worries to later work with these to co-create actionable items that address them, too. #trusttheprocess : Here the fears, doubts, and worries have space and we will come back to them. They are an integral part of our journey.
Oh and the two moments I had the most fun were when we did the Hot Potato #Ideation with a T-Rex toy 🦖 and when I asked the participants to get out their phones to take a photo of the whiteboard covered in ideas before they had to take all of the ideas down that had no dot-votes. Why did I ask all of them to take a photo of the whiteboard? That they can always come back to ideas that did not get a vote, and most importantly, to grieve the “loss” of their precious ideas that did not make it; To stay on a bias to action.
Thank you everyone at the institute and especially to Björn Nölte! We loved and love to support the institute on its journey 🙌
